Some
refer to plastic surgeons as cosmetic surgeons; however, a plastic surgeon
is what you really want. Most doctors calling themselves "cosmetic
surgeons" are not true plastic surgeons and are not qualified or
experienced in plastic surgery. To be sure you are seeing a true "plastic
surgeon" choose an American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS)
certified plastic surgeon. All of our plastic surgeons are certified
by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. The American Board of Plastic
Surgery is the ONLY plastic surgery board recognized by the American
Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) which oversees legit boards. Almost
90% of all licensed physicians in the United States are certified by
an ABMS Member Board, there is no reason to see a doctor from the bottom
10%. You could be seeing a doctor that is just a doctor and not even
a surgeon, no less a plastic surgeon.
There
are over 5000 certified plastic surgeons, and of them only a small percentage
are invited to join our plastic surgeon directory.
By
choosing an American Board of Plastic Surgery certified plastic surgeon;
patients are ensured the surgeon has graduated from an accredited medical
school and completed at least five years of residency (usually three
years of general surgery and two years of plastic surgery). A plastic
surgeon must also practice for two years and pass written and oral examinations
in plastic surgery.
I
have personally checked the qualifications of our member plastic surgeons.
In fact, our plastic surgeons meet higher standards than those of any
other referral service as we only list select plastic surgeons to be
in our plastic surgeon directory. Our plastic surgeons must also maintain
that standard in order to remain in our plastic surgeon directory.

Dr.
Sudarsky's Breast Augmentation
 Breast
Augmentation is a procedure performed to enlarge a woman's breasts.
Several techniques and styles of implants are offered. This procedure
may be performed over or under the pectoralis muscle, with round
or teardrop saline filled implants. Dr. Sudarsky can adjust the
amount of saline injected into your implant based on the size
you have selected and help correct asymmetry of your breasts.
TUBA
(Trans Umbilical Breast Augmentation)
Dr.
Sudarsky also performs the TUBA (Trans Umbilical Breast Augmentation)
technique, which provides insertion of breast implants through
the belly button. It is performed on an outpatient basis using
general or local anesthesia. A
small incision is made in the belly button. Through the incision,
a slender instrument passes under the skin to a location behind
the breast tissue. Next, a tissue expander is inserted and placed
under the breast. With the expander, a space is developed to
create a pocket for the implant size you requested. The position
and size is verified. Then, an empty saline implant is placed
in the pocked and filled with sterile saline. The incision is
closed with a few absorbable stitches.

of TUBA: Faster
recovery
Very little tissue trauma
Less risk of injury to the sensory nerves of the nipple and
breast
Shorter operative time
Single scar away for the breast. As
with all cosmetic surgeries, the technique and procedure of
choice, is recommended by the surgeon and discussed with the
patient, after a thorough physical examination.
