WORST PART OF SURGERY: Waiting to find a surgeon to do it. Has anyone made any negative remarks to you about your surgery?: My mother thinks I'm crazy. COMMENT: I did this surgery for my boyfriend. I'm a petite - 5'1" and about 100 lbs. I always wanted breasts a little bigger (big C cup), but I adore my boyfriend, and knew this would drive him wild, which it has. We discussed it, and together found a qualified doctor. I couldn't wait for the day of surgery to arrive. I had 780cc's on one side, and 800 cc's on the other to 'even them out.' Since my boobs are so big (in relation to my body), I get a lot of looks - especially at the beach. I've been working nights at a very elegant gentlemen's as a bartender, and have discussed going even bigger. Things are going well with my boyfriend, but I know that if I do this, I'll make him mine. I started searching for doctors again, I'm thinking with going to 1800 cc's to 2000 cc's - that will definitely make him wild. I

_______________________ How long have you had implants: 5 Months Implant: Saline HAPPY: Yes COMMENT: I have had some complications with my surgery so far. During my original surgery my pectoral muscle was very tight so the doctor had to yank my muscle down so that the implants would sit in a little better. Due to that I had to wear an ace bandage very tight above where my implants were for aprox. 3 weeks day and night. My breasts looked very deformed to me. I was not told that my nipples would still be pointing down I was under the impression that the implants would give an overall look of "lift". Instead my nipples were still pointing towards the ground but now my breasts were just larger and still very pointed looking. I went back to the doctor very concerned, he said some of the strange shape was due to scar tissue build-up, he gave me antibiotics and had me return in two months. When I came back he said at that point " I've seen worse." After a few more visits filled with concern he agreed that my implants were "riding high" and looked as if he should go in and cut pockets in the lower part of my breasts so they might drop into place he would also remove the scar tissue that was apparent while he was in there for a fee of$650.00. So that's where we stand now but can you believe I would do it all over again if I had to. But they're still overly sensitive to hot and cold. WORST PART OF SURGERY: The wait. After I made the appointment it seemed like and eternity. I thought the anxiety was going to give me a heart attack! Has anyone made any negative remarks to you about your surgery?: Nothing directly to my face but when I've overheard people in my office speculating about it when they thought I was out of earshot. I don't mind though. For the most part, I've gotten far more POSITIVE comments from men and many of my girl friends. I was lucky and got fantastic results. Some guys I've been with think actually think they're real! (I don't spoil it for them). COMMENT: I consider it amongst the best things I've ever decided to do for myself. I haven't had any problems to date (knock on wood!) but I'll probably be getting them replaced soon anyhow. Will go bigger this time. Probably somewhere around 680 to 700 (overfilled by 50). Good luck to all those considering it or already scheduled! You won't regret it.

The burning sensation in my nipples was almost unbearable for a couple of weeks. Trying to decide what size implants to use. Has anyone made any negative remarks to you about your surgery?: No.

WORST PART OF SURGERY: The worst part was not having it done sooner!!!!!! I think they're just jealous. (Implants really look better than the real thing!!)

I am not against women having them put in, but find out all the facts, from both the pro and cons, and think long and hard. If you thought that you were having weird feelings the night before you had them put in,think about the feelings you'll be experiencing if you have to have them taken out! Not to mention the cost of removing them everytime something goes wrong! WOMEN NEED TO KNOW EVERYTHING BEFORE DOING SOMETHING THIS EXTREME TO THEIR BODIES!

IN NIPPLE SENSATION: For several weeks, perhaps even 2 or 3 months I
had numbness in a WORST PART OF SURGERY: Just the pain afterwards. I had pain in my back at first when laying down. Also, I do remember the surgery, not the pain but the pressure. Back then, they used valium with intravenous sedation, and now they use something much stronger I am told. Has anyone made any negative remarks to you about your surgery?: No. I have been asked though if I had had my breasts enhanced. People have said they are just too perfect to be the real thing. But I keep them wondering COMMENT: One of my implants is very possibly ruptured so I am having them replaced with saline ones in about 10 days. I am going a little larger as well. I am currently 340 cc's and I'm going to 440 cc's. I am hoping that surgery the second time around is not as painful as the first. I have never regretted having this surgery. Not even now that I have to do it again. Add: perhaps with the silicone controversy, and an increasing number of women having them replaced with saline some information on the transition would be good. For example, I wonder how different they will feel and look. Are most women who make the transition happy with the saline?

yes MASSAGE COMMENTS: My Dr. didn't mention anything to me about massaging them. It wasn't until a friend who has them encouraged me to that I started and that was about 2 wks after I got them. I started massaging them about three times a day but lately I've slacked off a little. I know it's not as common for implants under the muscle to harden. PAIN SCALE 1-6: 4-Painful HAPPY OVERALL?: yes CHANGES IN NIPPLE SENSATION: My right breast has some numbness and a spot under my arm. The sensation has SLOWLY started coming back. My Dr. said it might be a year before it comes back. WORST PART OF SURGERY: Anticipation,money and bruising. anyone made any negative remarks to you about your surgery?: No COMMENT: Make sure you have someone stay with you for at least the first 24 hrs. I was pretty groggy at times and needed someone to make sure I took my meds on time. It's really hard getting up out of bed by yourself even if your propped up on pillows so make sure you can do that before you are left alone. I could do it with some effort by the second day. Anything you have to reach up high should be placed at about waist level or a little higher. After about five days you should be able to get to things that are shoulder height. But stretch your arms as much as you can stand so they don't stay so tight. For the first 24 to 48 hrs try to stay propped in as close to a sitting position as you can comfortably manage. Use ice for that same time period to try to reduce swelling. Ask your Dr about the drug cancer patients are using to prevent nausea caused by chemo treatments. I think it's called Zofran. I know it starts with a Z. It did wonders for me. I've always had a history of severe nausea associated with anesthesia. It's been a little over three months since my surgery. I feel like I've always had my implants. It took about a month for me to be able to sleep on my side and not have to wear a bra 24 hrs a day. It was probably another two weeks before I could sleep on my stomach.The only thing I'm still waiting for is for them to drop. I chose the more natural "tear drop" shape and my doctor said it would take about 6 months for that to happen. I don't want it to be obvious that I have them. I don't regret this for one second and would do it all over again if I had too!!

I am 49 years old (was 48 at time of surgery) and wondered why I waited so long.
