I created this site 10 years ago and at the time it was the only site of it's kind. Since I had done extensive research and my husband at the time was a physician and my plastic surgeon was recommended to us by a general surgeon; I undoubtedly thought I had all the bases covered for a good result. However, I was disappointed with the size as well as other aspects. For the money we spend, I didn't want other women to make the same avoidable mistakes (and I have since had a redo with a much better plastic surgeon, Dr. Revis). I also wanted to provide women a place to share their experiences, particularly since discussing breast augmentation is not a common topic at lunch. At over 16,000 messages a month it's obvious the IMPLANTFORUM community was a much needed support group!

As far as the technical & administrative side of building a web site, I have been a computer nerd since I sat down at my first one 24 years ago, so creating a web site came somewhat naturally. I also have a degree in marketing which helps a lot. However, I think the site has been a success because I have published un-biased information and have sought out the best surgeons to list in our directory. Although the site has been copied and copied, no other company follows this format.

I spend a great deal of time updating the site, when I'm not, I enjoy dancing, water sports, traveling and good friends (because good friends are so hard to come by), deep conversation, loving cats (got one sitting on my lap right now!) and I'm always jamming to music whether it be top 40, classic rock or country--virtually anything but hard rap or the garbage spewing TV! My biggest dislikes are #1. Mean People and #2. Ignorant People. Mean comes first because everyone has a choice to be pleasant, fair and honest verses despicable, disrespectful and mendacious (dishonest). If you're ever in a situation where you are unsure, just ask yourself, "What Would Jesus Do?"
