Dr. Joseph Fata's extensive training and years of experience in both cosmetic surgery and reconstructive plastic surgery, combined with his emphasis on personalized care, have made him one of the region's most highly respected plastic surgeons. In fact, Dr. Fata is the only surgeon in the Indianapolis area board certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology.  Dr. Fata earned his M.D. from the State University of New York at Syracuse where he completed an internship in General Surgery and a residency in Otolaryngology (Ears, Nose, & Throat)-Head and Neck Surgery. He went on to complete a residency in Plastic Surgery at the Oregon Health Science University followed by a one-year fellowship at Washington University Medical Center in St. Louis. While at Washington University, he gained additional experience in the most advanced surgical techniques for the treatment of facial disorders caused by birth defects and aging.  He also serves as the Vice Chairman of the Department of Plastic Surgery at Community Hospitals of Indianapolis and he is a member of the Medical Executive Committee at the Healthsouth Surgery Center. Dr. Fata has been a national and international guest lecturer on a variety of topics in plastic surgery.  Dr. Fata's practice encompasses the full spectrum of plastic surgery and aesthetic surgery and he has performed thousands of procedures. He has a special interest in facial cosmetic surgery and body contouring, especially breast enlargement (augmentation), liposuction, tummy tuck (abdominoplasty), facelift, eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), and surgery of the nose (rhinoplasty). Dr. Fata is a medical staff member and board member of the Carmel Ambulatory Surgery Center. He is on the medical staff at St. Vincent Hospital. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons(ASAPS) and the Indiana Medical Society. 

Your Consultation with Dr. Fata

During your confidential consultation, Dr. Fata will discuss your personal goals and review the options that may be available to you. He will then make a carefully considered recommendation based on your individual needs. You will also meet with Donette, our Patient Coordinator, to view "before and after" photos and videos, and to answer any additional questions that you may have. She will also work with you to structure a financing option affordable to you. By the conclusion of your consultation, Dr. Fata and his staff will give you all of the information you will need to make an informed decision about cosmetic surgery.
