A Long Island native, Dr. Romanelli trained in some of the nation’s best hospitals before returning to New York to offer exceptional cosmetic surgery to his New York patients. His experience and judgment mean that every patient seeking breast augmentation at his Long Island surgical facility can count on safety, comfort and outstanding results.
Dr. Romanelli has assembled a team of professionals whose experience with him includes breast enhancement, breast reductions, breast lifts and breast reconstruction. “Every day I am complimented on the caring and expertise of our staff,” says Dr. Romanelli. “We are constantly evaluating new implants, new techniques, and new procedures to afford our patients the best results available.”
Romanelli Cosmetic Surgery is located in Huntington, New York, on Long Island’s Gold Coast. Patients from Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn travel by car or the Long Island Railroad to Dr. Romanelli’s practice, which offers a fully accredited surgical facility, as well as the option for overnight stays with our private duty nurses.

More About Dr. Romanelli, Long Island Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Romanelli’s creative impulse took form in his love of sculpture as a young student, and has matured with his training and experience as a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. Dr. Romanelli graduated with Honors from the University of Notre Dame, and knew that he wanted to bring comfort and healing to people as a doctor. Surgery was his passion at the State University of New York at Downstate, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine. At Staten Island University Hospital Dr. Romanelli trained fully in General Surgery, was appointed Chief Resident, and subsequently was Board Certified in Surgery.
Dr. Romanelli then moved his family to Houston Texas to train in Plastic Surgery at the world renowned Baylor College of Medicine, where he trained with the two inventors of the modern breast implant, Drs. Gerow and Cronin. Dr. Romanelli’s experience included silicone and saline breast implants, as well as breast reconstruction using breast implants, tissue expanders, and the TRAM (Tummy Tuck) flap.
Returning to Long Island in 1990, Dr. Romanelli quickly established his reputation as a plastic surgeon of exceptional judgment and skill. “Excellent results in plastic surgery begin with careful analysis and strong decision making. At consultation, each patient is given a realistic assessment, and I give them the pros and cons of each option for breast enhancement,” says Dr. Romanelli. “Sometimes the best result will be attained by combining a breast lift with a breast implant.” As an investigator for 3 FDA approved silicone gel trials, and as a surgeon whose experience with breast implants pre-dates the moratorium on silicone implants, Dr. Romanelli offers his patients his experience with all types of breast augmentation on Long Island, New York.
Dr. Romanelli’s judgment and commitment to safe surgical results was further evidenced by his appointment as Chief of Surgery at Huntington Hospital in 2000. “The first thing every doctor learns in medical school is ‘Primum non nocere,’ which is Latin for ‘First, do no harm,’” says Dr. Romanelli. “It is remarkable that at our office surgical facility, in one hour, we can perform a breast augmentation which our patients recover from with little if any bruising.” At his office, Dr. Romanelli’s patients enjoy the care and expertise of his Board Certified Anesthesiologists, Nurse Practitioner, and plastic surgery nurses.
Some might say that the greatest testament to any plastic surgeon’s work is the opinion of his peers, and Dr. Romanelli certainly has his fair share of positive feedback.
