Everything was done the way I wanted and with a "natural" look. As Dr. Strock once told me, "if people have to wonder "if" you have implants, then he did his job right. Dr. Strock is a native Texan, originally from Austin. He is a graduate of Amherst College and received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He completed residencies in Surgery and Plastic Surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, where he later served as Assistant Professor of Surgery, Division of Plastic Surgery. While serving on the faculty at UTMB, Dr. Strock focused his efforts on cosmetic surgery of the breast and face and reconstructive breast surgery. Dr. Strock first began to use endoscopic techniques at UTMB in 1996 for the placement of saline breast implants through a one-inch armpit incision, and for rejuvenation of the upper face and brow, and for mobilization of muscle flaps used for reconstruction in patients with breast cancer. He began his private practice in Fort Worth in 1996 and has focused on further advances in Transaxillary Endoscopic Breast Augmentation, developing refinements in technique that allow for both silicone gel and saline breast implants to be placed with no incisions on the patient's breasts. In addition to breast augmentation, Dr. Strock also continues to use minimal incision techniques routinely in the placement of breast implants, selected patients for implant revision or replacement, breast lift, and rejuvenation of the upper face, brow and eyelid areas.
Dr. Strock is an active contributor to education in cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. He has presented papers, lectures and instructional courses on Transaxillary Endoscopic Breast Augmentation, Technical Refinements and Complication Avoidance in Transaxillary Endoscopic Breast Augmentation, and multiple topics relating to Secondary Breast Implant Surgery at the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery national meetings and sponsored educational symposia. He has also presented papers, lectures and instructional courses on Aesthetic Breast Reconstruction in the Slender Patient and Control of Shape in Expander Implant Breast Reconstruction at the American Society of Plastic Surgeons national meetings and sponsored symposia. Dr. Strock is regularly listed as a top plastic surgeon in national consumer publications, Texas "Super Doctors", and Fort Worth, Texas Magazine "Top Docs" publications. Dr. Strock and his work have been featured on "The Oprah Winfrey Show". Dr. Strock has also appeared on numerous local television programs to discuss his work in Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Strock is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and completed recertification in 2006. He is an active member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons, Texas Surgical Society, Fort Worth Society of Plastic Surgeons, Blocker-Lewis Plastic Surgical Society, Fort Worth Surgical Society, Texas Medical Association, American Medical Association and Tarrant County Medical Society. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has received the Certificate of Advanced Education in Cosmetic Surgery awarded by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He serves on the Board of Directors of Cancer Care Services of Tarrant County, and has served on the governing board of the American Cancer Society, Tarrant County Chapter.

Breast enhancement refers to a group of procedures that improves the appearance of your breasts. Breast enlargement is performed by placement of breast implants to increase breast volume and enhance shape. Breast lift is performed in selected patients to regain a youthful breast shape by reconfiguring the skin envelope of the breast and repositioning the nipple to a more aesthetic location. Breast enlargement and lift are sometimes performed as combined procedures, depending upon the preoperative situation and the postoperative goals.
Recent advances in surgical technique have provided the opportunity for patients to have breast augmentation with no incisions on the breast using endoscopic assistance. Refinements in endoscopic technology allow for the routine placement of breast implants using a one-inch incision in the top of the armpit. The procedure itself is similar to standard breast augmentation in that the implant is placed beneath the pectoral muscle, except that the tissue release inside is performed using endoscopic equipment. Saline implants are used for primary breast augmentation with the technique, using either smooth round or textured "teardrop-shaped" implants.
Many patients who seek breast enhancement may have preexisting asymmetry, or differences in breast shape, that requires different operations on each side to accomplish a symmetrical result. While individual situations may vary, these situations can often be addressed with implants filled differently on each side and/or some type of breast lift. In patients who require a breast lift, short incision techniques can often be used that minimize visible scarring to the breast compared with full-incision techniques. These approaches also allow for implant placement at the same time if needed.
Breast implant replacement or other secondary procedures are sometimes needed for patients who experience implant rupture, increased firmness (capsular contracture), or severe gravitational effects which change the position of a breast implant relative to the overlying breast tissue. Secondary procedures may also be needed if the aesthetic goals for breast size and shape change over time.
Breast enhancement is performed on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia. Breast reduction patients are usually observed in the operative facility or hospital overnight following the procedure. Recovery usually includes a short period of activity restriction that allows for an early return to work and most normal activities.
