Our Plastic Surgeons:

Because we educate mostly breast surgery, liposuction and tummy tuck patients; we require our plastic surgeons to be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, which qualifies the surgeon to perform both body and facial procedures. By choosing an American Board of Plastic Surgery certified plastic surgeon; patients are ensured the surgeon has graduated from an accredited medical school and completed at least five years of residency (usually three years of general surgery and two years of plastic surgery). An ABPS certified plastic surgeon must also practice for two years and pass written and oral examinations in plastic surgery.

There are over 5000 ABPS certified plastic surgeons, and of them only a small percentage are invited to join our plastic surgeon directory. I have personally checked the qualifications of our member surgeons. In fact, our plastic surgeons meet higher standards than those of any other referral service as we only list select plastic surgeons to be in our surgeon directory. Our plastic surgeons must also maintain that standard in order to remain in our surgeon directory.

About Cosmetic Surgeons:
Some refer to plastic surgeons as cosmetic surgeons; however, a plastic surgeon is what you really want. Most doctors calling themselves "cosmetic surgeons" are not American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) certified plastic surgeons. When considering any plastic surgery procedure of the body, such as lipo, tummy tucks and breast surgery, you can be sure your doctor is qualified, trained and experienced in plastic surgery by looking for a plastic surgeon that is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). Meet Florida Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Rothfield

Dr. Robert E. Rothfield is board-certified in both plastic surgery and otolaryngology/head and neck surgery. He has operated his own private practice since 1994. He is the Chief of Plastic Surgery at Memorial West Hospital in Pembroke Pines, Florida. Dr. Rothfield received his undergraduate degree from Haverford College in 1981 and his medical degree from the University of Miami in 1986. He then completed eight years of progressively specialized training for plastic surgery. Having trained at some of the best medical centers in the country, Dr. Rothfield is exceptionally skilled at combining the art and science of cosmetic plastic surgery to provide his patients a naturally enhanced look.

Prior to surgery, you will have extensive consultations to ensure that Dr. Rothfield completely understands not only your physical condition, but your goals and expectations for the procedure. It also gives you the opportunity to have all of your questions answered, to have a full understanding of your treatment, and to feel completely comfortable. Dr. Rothfield will provide you with pre- and post-operative instructions, and see you in follow-up appointments after your surgery. The extra time and attention you receive from Dr. Rothfield mean that your care is as caring, thorough, and personalized as you deserve.

Our Facilities
Dr. Rothfield's main office is located in the Weston Regional HealthPark in Weston, Florida. He also has satellite office facilities in Pembroke Pines and on Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, to offer you the greatest convenience.

Because your safety is of paramount importance and cannot be compromised, Dr. Rothfield operates only in fully accredited hospital-run operating facilities. Depending upon your needs, surgery is performed at the Surgery Center of Weston, located in the Weston Regional HealthPark and operated by the North Broward Hospital District, or at the Memorial West Same Day Surgery Center, operated by the Memorial West Hospital, or at the Memorial West Hospital. These facilities are all staffed with board-certified anesthesiologists and represent uncompromised medical care.
